Woman convicted in Osun murder case

An Osun state high court has sentenced a hotel receptionist Fatimo Adesina to two years imprisonment for her role in the murder of Timothy Adegoke, a former post-graduate student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

Adegoke had lodged at the Hilton Honours Hotel in Ile-Ife, where he was allegedly murdered.

The police would later discover his mutilated corpse in a nearby bush, wrapped in the bloodstained bedspread with the hotel’s name inscribed on it.

In her ruling on Wednesday, the state chief judge, Adepele Ojo, held Adesina guilty of conspiracy to fabricate evidence and conceal the fact. Adesina had lied that the deceased did not lodge at the hotel.

Equally sentenced are the hotel proprietor, Dr. Ramon Adedoyin, and two of his staff, namely Adeniyi Aderogba and Oyetunde Kazeem– all of whom the court ordered should be executed by hanging.
