Ekiti pupils freed by kidnappers, one killed
Some abducted pupils and their teachers have regained their freedom.
The assailants had intercepted a school bus ferrying the pupils and abducted nine of them including their teachers.
The kidnappers later contacted their parents demanding several millions as ransom for their release.
A report claimed they rejected the sum of seven million naira the distraught parents had offered to them for the release of the kids.
The Chairman of Emure Local Government, Mr Adebayo Oluwatosin, told Radio Nigeria that the victims had been released and now in the palace of Elemure of Emure Ekiti.
He said they were released around 2a.m. The driver of the bus was killed.
