Clergyman dies after dispatching birthday invites, governor reacts

A famous clergyman has died after dispatching invites to friends and family for his 50^th birthday celebration.

Ezekiel Atang, an Akwa Ibom pastor of the God’s House of Refuge, died on February 21, three weeks to the birthday bash he was organising for himself.

The cause of his death is yet unknown.

The state governor, Udom Emmanuel, has paid a condolence visit to the family known for his humour during church worship.

”The Governor commiserated with the family on the demise of the Late Senior Pastor of God’s House of Refuge who left behind his wife, Dr Dara Atang, three children, aged mother, elder brother and other relations,” a statement from the Governor’s office stated.
