Zulum mourns fallen civilian JTF leader

Professor Babagana Zulum, the governor of Borno State, has mourned the death of the commander of the Civilian JTF, identified as Malia.

The civilian JTF is a vigilante group providing support to the military anti-terrorism campaign in Borno.

In his tweet on Monday, Zulum said, “Until a while ago that someone brought to my attention, I didn’t know that we had lost Malia, a fallen commander of the Civilian JTF and a big hero of Borno State,” he said.

“We are eternally grateful to these super courageous men and women for their immense sacrifices, and these sacrifices shall never be in vain, bi iznillah.”

The governor said his deputy, Umar Kadafur paid a condolence visit to the mother of the deceased vigilante commander.

PEnamoured by Kadafur’s gesture, Zulum tweeted: “By the nature of our hard working deputy Governor of Borno State, His Excellency, Umar Usman Kadafur, he does many good things and sometimes, without even bothering to inform me.”
