Man kills five-year-old nephew over tobacco, one other stoned to death

A man has allegedly hacked his five-year-old nephew to death with an axe and injured his sister-in-law for denying him tobacco at their home.

The horrific incident comes in the wake of another incident where three men stoned a 24-year-old man to death following an argument.

In the first incident, the unnamed man was angry that his sister-in-law prevented him from smoking.

He reportedly waited till around 11 pm before breaking into the woman’s house. He attacked her and her son with an axe while they were asleep, and fled from the spot.

While the boy succumbed to his injury from the attack, the mother survived and is currently undergoing treatment.

The suspect has been arrested for murder, the police said.

Similarly, a game of cricket has led to a man’s death. According to the story, the man and has friends had argued over the match, which turned into a violence.

As the victim tried to flee from the scene, his assailants pursued him to a drain he fell into and stoned him on his head. The police said they are investigating the incident after receiving a complaint.

The first incident happened in Madhya Pradesh’s Shahdol district, while the second murder took place at Nodia Extension, Meerut district in Uttar Pradesh, both in India.
