Trump indicted for paying hush money to adult film actress

Ex-U.S. president Donald Trump broke records to become the first American leader to be charged with a crime. A Manhattan grand jury voted to indict Trump.

Washington Post is reporting that the grand jury had been hearing evidence about money Trump paid to adult film actress Stormy Daniels during his 2016 presidential campaign. The hush payment meant to Daniels from revealing her sexual encounter with him.

The newspaper says that Trump is expected to turn himself in and appear in court on Tuesday at 2:15 p.m.

Trump is also the “focus of criminal probes in Georgia and Washington, D.C.,” for his efforts “to overturn Joe Biden’s 2020 election victory and his handling of classified material at Mar-a-Lago, his Florida home and private club,” the report stated.

It is said that the cases have raised serious questions about America’s national security and the basic functions of democracy.

Trump, like any criminal defendant, is expected to be processed before his arraignment, including fingerprinting and mug shots.
