Student electrocuted to death

A 16-year-old student, Meshack Agaba, died from electrocution last Wednesday at Government Science Secondary School in Abuja. As per a report, the tragedy has sparked outrage from parents, who alleged negligence by the school management

An anonymous said that Agaba was fetching water when he stepped on a live electrical cable on school grounds. The source claims the exposed cable and pole were known issues that the school had failed to address.

Reports allege the school attempted to downplay the incident, with the vice principal, Mrs. Dogo Suzie, saying that Agaba was trying to jump a fence when the accident occurred.

However, a separate source disputes this, stating the school altered their account after police involvement.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident and stated an investigation is ongoing.
