‘PDP won’t be caught unawares again’, says Fayose over violence

Ayodele Fayose, former governor of Ekiti State, has vowed the state Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, would match any future attack on the party and its facilities.

Fayose reacted to the Thursday violent attack on the party’s secretariat in Ado-Ekiti by unidentified persons.

“…those behind this, they are reminded that nobody knows the end of violence and nobody has monopoly of violence too. They must be careful not to attempt it any further.

“This will be the last time such will happen to any PDP facility or our members in Ekiti, and those agents of violence and their sponsors, wherever they may be, are hereby warned.

“On this one, we have taken the hint and we won’t be intimidated by cowards,” said Fayose, who also urged the Police to find the attackers.

TheCornet reports that Ekiti State is in an electioneering period, with the two dominant parties – the All Progressives Congress and the PDP expected to hold their primaries before the June 22 poll.
