Dozens of APC supporters injured in fracas

Dozens of supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are reportedly injured following a fracas that took place in Gayawa village, Kano State.

The injured are supporters of the candidate for Kano Central senatorial district seat Abdussalam Abdulkarim.

Vehicles in Abdulkarim cavalcade were destroyed. His media aide, Ibrahim Mua’azzam, said the candidate’s supporters were returning after a condolence visit when the attack from suspected opposition members took place.

“Our interim assessment of the damage caused by this inimical act has so far revealed 17 minor and major casualties

The major casualties are undergoing treatment at the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital. We also have 17 cars damaged,” he said.

The police are yet to the comment on the incident.
