Kidnapping: Port Harcourt lecturer freed 3 weeks after

Dr. Jones Ayauwo, a lecturer at the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has been set free by his abductors.

Some gunmen seized Ayauwo, who lectures in the institution’s Department of Linguistics and Communication, three weeks ago in the Khana Local Government Area of the state.

Sammy Kpenu, the university’s spokesperson, said the lecturer regained freedom on Monday night.

“The management of the University has already contacted his family, and thanked God for his release.
