How terrorists killed 32 persons in Kaduna – Survivors

Survivors of a terrorist attack that happened in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Sunday said no fewer than 32 natives died from the onslaught. The armed men reportedly raided various communities, namely Ugwan Gamu, Dogon Noma, Ungwan Sarki, and Maikori villages.

The attack happened after some gunmen abducted 14 persons on Saturday and killed 25 on Friday, according to a Punch report.

According to an unnamed survivor, the attackers are wont to kill their victims despite receiving ransom payments from their release. He also claimed a certain helicopter was seen aiding the attackers during the onslaught.

He allegedly said, “We saw helicopter assisting the bandits. Some of them are riding on motorcycles, wielding AK-47 rifles. Some were wearing military uniforms.”

Awemi Dio Maisamari, the national president of Adara Development Association, corroborated the claim.

He said,“To the horror of the natives, the white painted helicopter faced the brave natives instead and started shooting at the youths from the air, clearly leaving out the killers who can be distinctly identified by the mode of dressings and from their positions.”

The Nigerian military is yet to respond to the claim about the helicopter or its occupiers who are said to adorn military camouflages.

But, Samuel Aruwan, commissioner for internal security and home affairs, in Kaduna state, reportedly confirmed the attack.
