Kano mourns Lebanese billionaire Tahir Fadlallah
Kano State has lost an illustrious naturalized Lebanese-Nigerian Tahir Fadlallah, aged 78years.
Fadlallah owned the famous Tahir Guest Palace.
Garba Shehu, a special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on media, announced Fadlallah’s death on his Facebook page.
“We have lost Tahir,” Shehu said in a terse post.
The Lebanese-Nigerian passed on in Beirut, Lebanon on Friday morning, where he had been receiving medical treatment.
DAILY NIGERIAN claimed Fadlallah died inside the Intensive Care Unit of the Clemenceau Medical Center in Beirut, since his admission to the hospital on April 15.
The deceased, according to the newspaper, was flown out of Kano to Beirut on April 23, 2020 after developing complications from Covid-19.
The famous billionaire, whose parents relocated to Kano when he was only two years old, allegedly stated in his will that he must be buried in Kano, regardless of where he might have died.
