Gunmen kidnap LG chairman, kill police aide

Some gunmen have kidnapped Muhammed Shehu, the chairman of Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Shehu’s aide, Tanimu Mohammed, was abducted too. The assailants however killed the chairman’s police orderly, named as Alhassan Habeeb.

 

The incident happened along the Akwanga-Keffi-Abuja highway on Friday night, multiple sources have said.

The state Commissioner of Police, Adesina Soyemi confirmed the incident and assured that his men were on the situation.
