8years after, Boko Haram kidnaps 24 persons in Chibok
Daredevil Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram, returned to Chibok town in Borno state, kidnapping 24 persons.
The latest kidnap comes eight years after the terrorists kidnapped 276 schoolgirls. Some of the girls were allegedly married off to Boko Haram commanders and some used as sex slaves.
Umar Ibrahim, the Chairman of Chibok Local Government Area, confirmed the incident and the number of those taken captives.
Prior to the latest incident, the terrorists launched a similar onslaught in Kautikari, a local ward in Chibok local government of Borno State.
Local officials said the terrorists upon invading the town shot sporadically for one hour.
The attack reportedly left in its wake four deaths and about 110 buildings burnt down.
