Fight between lovers lead to death of one
Two lovers reportedly engaged each other in a fight, leading to the death of one of them.
The police in Nasarawa state said they received a distress call on the fight between a woman and her boyfriend. On getting to the scene of the incident, they found out the woman had stabbed her lover to death.
“Police operatives attached to Mararaba ‘A’ Division in Nasarawa State led by CSP Musa Babayola have arrested one Alice Mulak ‘F’ of Ungwan Gwari, Karu LGA for stabbing her boyfriend to death with a knife.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the incident happened behind City Rock Hotel, Mararaba at about 0330hrs when the deceased and his girlfriend engaged themselves in fisticuffs as a result of a misunderstanding,” said DSP Ramhan Nansel, the spokesperson for the state police command.
He added that the police transferred the suspect to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Lafia, for further investigation and subsequent prosecution.
