Woman killed in scuffle with friend
The police have arrested one Annie Ofili of Greenville Estate, Ajah, for stabbing her friend to death.
According to the story, the victim paid a visit to the Ofili, during which an altercation arose between them.
The noise from the scuffling women alerted neighbours to the occurrence but none could intervene. This is because Ofili had locked the door. By the time the neighbours eventually gained access, Ofili had murdered her friend. A report claimed Ofili stabbed Okon in her neck and back.
Commenting on the incident, Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos state police command, said that the incident happened on Sunday.
He said, “The lady was arrested and the kitchen knife was recovered as an exhibit,” Hundeyin added that the police had deposited the victim’s corpse in the Mainland General Hospital mortuary, Yaba, for autopsy and preservation.”
