Malami marries Buhari’s daughter Nana Hadiza

Abubakar Malami, Nigeria’s attorney-general and minister of justice, reportedly married President Muhammadu Buhari’s daughter at a private ceremony on Friday. The president’s daughter’s name is given as Nana Hadiza.

According to Star, the private Nikkai ceremony was held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Hadiza will be Malami’s third wife. The minister was formerly betrothed to Abdulrahman Mamman Kurfi, who bore him six children.

An unnamed source reported to have confirmed the marriage said, “It’s true, the Attorney-General is now officially an in-law of Mr President. He got married to Hadiza, one of Baba’s daughters from his late first wife, Safinatu.

“The Nikkai was performed after the Jumat in the State House mosque and not many people witnessed it.

Confirming the development, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said: “It is true. The AGF got married to the President’s daughter.”

Malami was appointed as AGF and Minister of Justice after President Buhari won the 2015 presidential election. He was re-appointed on August 21, 2019.
