Boko Haram’s commander Mustapha Ari declares for rival ISWAP ( See Photos)

A photo has emerged of Boko Haram top commander, Mustapha Ari, purportedly declaring for rival terror group the Islamic State for West Africa Province, ISWAP.

The image was published by Zagazola Makama, a security-based website focusing on terrorist activities in the Lake Chad Basin.

According to the website, Ari is was commanding Ngoshe axis of Gwoza LGA fo Boko Haram until his defection to the rival group. He also led dozens of fighters to ISWAP.

 

 

 

 

“Ari, has coordinated dozens of attacks in Gwoza, Banki and Bama. He is also the Chief Imam of the Boko Haram faction in Mandara Mountain,” the website wrote.

The persistent rival clashes between the two terrorists groups have led to several deaths on both sides.
