Ondo deputy governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, is facing a threat of removal by nine out of 17 lawmakers in the state House of Assembly.

The substantive Governor Rotimi Akeredolu was hospitalised at an overseas hospital and had just returned to the country.

Hon. Olamide Oladiji, the speaker of the house of assembly, presided over the session during which Majority Leader Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi read out the petition against Aiyeditiwa.

He equally urged the state legislature to summon Aiyeditiwa to answer to the allegations levelled against him.

Aiyeditiwa’s ordeal began with Governor Akeredolu’s sacking of his media aides upon returning to the country.  The government then directed the Ministry of Information and Orientation cover the deputy governors activities.
