Wike tops twitter trend after dialogue with APC governors
Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, tops twitter trend Friday after he met with three All Progressives Congress (APC) governors in Port Harcourt. The governors are Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos); Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti) and Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo). Also at the exclusive meeting was former Ekiti governor Ayodele Fayose.
Although the governors did not state the purpose of their meeting, it is believed to be about the 2023 presidential election. Wike had lost the presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to Atiku Abubakar and, later, the vice president slot too. He is believed to be aggrieved over his mistreatment by the PDP and Atiku.
Wike had recently returned to the country after his holiday in Turkey. During his stay abroad, he was rumoured to have met with the presidential flag bearer of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
