Political opponents trying to tarnish my image – APC’s Sen. Goje

Senator Danjuma Goje has accused his “political opponents” of fuelling the allegation he partook in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial primaries.

TheCornet reports that PDP senatorial form with Goje’s name on it circulated the internet on Monday. But, the former governor, who is a member of the All Progressives Congress, denied the claim.

In a statement he issued, Goje said he “is a proud member of” his the ruling party.

“He is not a member of the PDP. He did not take part in the PDP primary in Gombe for the position of Senator or any other position.

“Senator Goje’s photograph on the PDP ballot paper is the work of mischief-makers and political opponents bent on tarnishing his image,” the statement said.
