APC confirms Adamu, Omisore’s resignation

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the resignations of Senator Abdullahi Adamu and Iyiola Omisore as national chairman and national secretary of the party respectively.

TheCornet had earlier reported that the party was yet had to clarify the true state of affairs in the ruling party several hours after the news of Adamu’s resignation got into  the public space.

Senator Abubakar Kyari, who sat over a meeting of the APC National Working Committee on Monday, say he had taken over as acting national chairman. He confirmed Adamu’s resignation, alongside that of Omisore.

Kyari also announced the suspension of national caucus meeting and that of its national executive council, initially fixed for Wednesday and Thursday.
