Police, DSS officers shot dead – Ubah
Some police officers and officials of the Department of State Security (DSS), in the convoy of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah were shot dead during the Sunday gun attack. Other casualties of the attack were Obum Ikechukwu and Goodness Mathias.
Senator Uba, representing Anambra south in the senate, confirmed this on Monday.
TheCornet had reported that unknown assailants engaged security officials protecting the senator in a gun duel, leading to the deaths of the law enforcement officers.
The incident took place around Nkwo Enugwu Ukwu Market axis of Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra.
DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Anambra State Command, however declined to reveal the casualty toll when journalists presented him with the enquiries.
