NLC demands being considered – FG

The Federal Government, on Monday, said that the demands from the Nigerian Labour Congress and its affiliates are under consideration.

Simon Lalong, the Minister of Labour and Productivity, told journalists the meeting between the government and labour leaders was “very robust”, however “many of the items presented by labour are still under consideration before the final agreement or discussions.”

Speaking in a similar vein, NLC president Joe Ajaero said they had a “fruitful deliberation” and both “agreed” to hold further talks “within the remaining days of the ultimatum.”

Labour had threatened a protest over fuel subsidy removal and the government’s delay in unfurling palliatives
