Nigeria Police acquire gunboats 

The Nigeria Police on Friday acquired four gunboats, which were launched at a ceremony held in Lagos on Friday.

 Usman Baba Alkali, the inspector-general of police, unveiled the gunboats at a ceremony that was equally attended  by the  chief of naval staff Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo.

A police statement issued said that Alkali promised he would continue to upgrade police operational assets. 

The IGP reportedly stressed the need for a synergy in crime fighting.
