NDLEA discovers drugs hidden in fish head

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says it uncovered 442 parcels of Crystal Meth hidden in heads of smoked fished.

A freight agent, Adekunle Oluwapelumi Paul, 32, from Yagba West LGA, Kogi State, was allegedly processing the illegal consignment packed in seven cartons for export to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

Also,  anti-narcotics operatives Saturday, 6th August, discovered another consignment containing 1.45kg cannabis. The drugs were concealed inside granulated melon and crayfish that were packed among other food condiments heading to Dubai, UAE.

Similarly, a freight agent, Ajisefini Lateef was arrested for the consignment.

The operatives also intercepted drugs at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.

50-year-old Mgbeobuna Victor Eberechukwu was made to excrete 77 pellets of cocaine he had ingested.

The suspect arrived from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia onboard an Ethiopian airline flight, last Saturday.

Mgbeobuna hails from Idemili South LGA, Anambra state.

In Kaduna, the NDLEA said three suspects, namely Saifullahi Sani, Salisu Nafi’u, and Abdulrazaq Mamman, were arrested in Zaria on Thursday 11th August.

The suspects were allegedly found with One Million One Hundred and Twelve Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty (1,112,350) tablets of Tramadol (225mg and 100mg), weighing 38.3kg.

In Kano state, operatives arrested Saratu Abdullahi, 28, fromWurno council area of the state, for possessing 541 blocks of cannabis weighing 245kg.
