Man, son Held For Killing Housewife
A father and his son, Chizoke Obiadada and Michael respectively have been arrested for the murder of their neighbour, Temitope Owoade.
Until her death, Temitope, a housewife, and the Obiadadas were neighbours.
They had a confrontation on the fateful day and both father and son pounced on her, beating her to stupor.
Temitope is said to have bled from her womb and private parts, leading to her death.
Explaining the incident in a statement, the Ogun police command said that Chizoke and his son sat on a table used by Temitope to display her goods -cow skin (ponmo). Temitope’s protest against their sitting on the table led to an altercation and eventually a fight.
The police said that Temitope’s husband, Isiaka Owoade reported his wife’s murder to the Divisional Police Office, Ogijo.
“He stated that his wife was rushed to Main Frame private hospital and Kunle hospital, Atan Agowa, but she was rejected at the two places.
“He stated that his wife gave up the ghost while she was being taken to a government hospital” the police narrated in a release.
The suspects “are currently undergoing preliminary investigations.”
“The case will be transferred to the State criminal investigation department for discreet investigation,” the police said.
