Cultists allegedly go on killing spree in Lagos

Rival cultists have engaged in killing one another in the Somolu and Bariga areas of Lagos state.
The latest victim is a cobbler–identified only as Wale– was killed during a reprisal attack carried out by a rival gang.
According to PUNCH, Wale was a relative of a suspected cultist whose gang recently killed one Moses- a member of a rival cult group.
In revenge, the late Moses’ gang reportedly stormed Wale’s shop but did not find him. Unrelenting, they trailed him to the Idi-Araba area of the state and hacked him to death.
It is gathered that the gang associated with Wale had initially killed a member of Moses’ gang, called Ayo.
However, the Lagos Police Command denied knowledge of the occurrence. Its spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, reportedly said “no such incident was reported to the police.”
