Man arrested for defilement
The police have arrested Babangida Isah, 20, for defilement of a five-year-old at Tike Quarters in the Funakaye Local Government Area of Gombe State.
ASP Mahid Abubakar, the state police spokesperson, said that the suspect lured the minor to the rear of an Almajiri school, where he raped her.
Abubakar said, “On receipt of the complaint, the suspect, Isah, was arrested and he voluntarily confessed to the crime.
“Both the suspect and the victim were taken to a hospital for medical examination. The case will soon be taken to court.”
