C-of-O processing in FCT pegged at N5m
The cost of processing a Certificate of Occupancy (C- of-O) in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, has been pegged at N5 million.
Nyesom Wike, minister of the FCT, announced the new fee when he met  with estate developers, in Abuja, on Tuesday.
He said an applicant can take four months to pay for the document.
He added that he would seek the approval of President Bola Tinubu to link applicantsâ National Identification Number to C-of-Os before issuance.
He said, âAllocation of land to three or more persons will no longer be allowed because the C-of-O enables you to do business.
âWhen we make the right decision, some people will be happy, and some will not. The rich will kick against some of our decisions, but anything that will help our people must be done,ââ Wike said.
Wike assured that he would sanitise land administration in the nation’s capital.
