Lagos judge sentences famous pastor to life imprisonment for rape

Justice Ronke Oshodi of the Ikeja sexual offences and domestic violence court, on Friday sentenced Pastor Feyi Daniels, founder of I Reign Christian Ministry, to life imprisonment for “raping a church member”.

Daniel was accused of rape, sexual assault and attempted rape. He was said to have sexually assaulted three female members of his church. The prosecutor said he committed the offences both at his Lekki residence and Ikeja, where his church is located.

Daniel’s victim told the court that he had sex with her during a prayer session, while speaking in tongues.

Justice Oshodi found the pastor guilty of rape and sexual assault the female worshipper. She sentenced him accordingly.
