Govt approves paternity leave for civil servants

A male civil servant now has the right to paternity leave during wife’s pregnancy.

According to Folasade Yemi-Esan,  the federal head of service, the four months leave is to allow husbands bond with their spouses and their newborns, either given birth my them or adopted.

Mrs. Yemi -Esan said fathers of adopted babies of less than four months will also enjoy this gesture approved for federal civil servants.
