  Ganduje’s ex-commissioners die three days apart

Two former commissioners in the immediate past administration in Kano state, led by Abdulahi Ganduje, have died three days apart from each other.

They are Alhassan Muhammad Dawaki and Barrister Zubaida Damakka who were commissioners for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs as well as Budget and Economic Planning respectively passed away on Friday.

According to Daily Trust, Dawaki succumbed to his illness, aged 79 and he was survived by some wives, 15 children.

He was buried in Kano on Sunday, in line with Islamic rites.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Ibrahim Garba Shu’aibu, described Dawaki as a prominent figure and well respected personality whose sudden departure had left a void in the hearts of many.
