Four shot dead by suspected cultists

Hoodlums reportedly shot four persons dead in Anambra State, Southeast Nigeria, but the police said they are unaware of the incident.

“There is no such report before me,” Tochukwu Ikenga, who speaks for the state police command, said.

The incident reportedly took place on Monday at Nodu Okpuno in Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The assailants had chased their victim into a compound, where a resident was entertaining his guests.

The gunmen shot four of the guests dead before escaping in their Toyota Corolla car.

The incident is believed to be cult-related.
