Buhari’s aide clarifies on Abudulsalami’s health

Abdulsalami Abubakar, Nigeria’s former head of state, has left a London hospital where he was admitted for an undisclosed ailment. Garba Shehu, who is President Muhammadu Buhari’s assistant on media, clarified on the elder stateman’s health after he was rumored to have a stroke.

Abdulsalami, who leads the Nigeria Peace Dialogue, clocked 80 years some days ago.

In his Facebook post on Monday, Shehu, said: “Alhamdu Lillahi for Allah’s mercy. I just ended a visit to His Excellency Abdulsalami Abubakar, former Head of State. He is out of hospital in a London apartment and apparently in no serious condition. He was his jovial self, maintaining a keen interest in developments back at home in Nigeria. Please, no cause for alarm.”
