Atiku, Okowa owe Nigerians apology for mocking Tinubu – Keyamo

Festus Keyamo, the chief spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign (APC-PCC), has reacted to the histrionics by Senator Dino Melaye of the Atiku-Okowa team.

Melaye had at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaigns stop in Delta state derided Tinubu, who is suspected to suffer Parkinson’s Syndrome.

The former senator depicted Tinubu with shaky hands and deliberately fell to the ground at a time during the campaign.

The PDP has continued to harp on its claims that Tinubu is mentally and physically unfit for the office.

In his reaction, Keyamo made a comparison between Nigerian presidential contestants and those who partook of the U.S. 2008 election – the then incumbent president Barack Obama and Senator John Mc Cain.

“Obama’s rival in 2008 US election, Sen. McCain had a deformity in one hand, (but) Obama’s team showed him respect & NEVER mocked him for it. But here, a VP candidate laughs as a clown falls on stage to mock another candidate. It’s the height of imbecility. They owe Nigerians an apology,” Keyamo tweeted.

Tinubu’s state of health has attracted attention from the opposition and some members of public, but his campaign insists he is healthy. They cite his participation in the gruelling political campaigns as evidence of his fitness.
