Senator Rochas Okorocha has said he visited former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta for consultation.
Okorocha, who has his eyes on the presidency, shared the photograph of him and Obasanjo on Twitter.
He wrote: “(I) Paid a courtesy visit to Fmr. president Olusegun Obasanjo today at the Obasanjo Library Abeokuta, Ogun state… we must consult our elder statesmen from time to time to move the nation forward.”
Okorocha aspired for the country’s presidency in 2003, when he vied for the Peoples Democratic Party ticket alongside Obasanjo who went on to win the vote.
The embattled Senator and immediate past governor of Imo State has a running battle with his successor, Governor Hope Uzodima.
Uzodima accused Okorocha of illegal acquisition of government property, among others and went on to seal a hotel, academy, hospital owned either by the governor or members of his family.
