Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has urged the electorate to vote for him in next year’s poll, because he is mentally and physically fit to lead the country.
Obi spoke at his campaign stop, held at the Freedom Park, Oshogbo, the capital of Osun State on Saturday.
He equally met with members of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Trade Union Congress, youths, and a women’s group during the campaign in the state.
The candidate, a former governor of Anambra State, promised he would employ economic, legal, and diplomatic means in trying to offset the current N77trn debt incurred by the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
Health conditions of presidential candidates have been a topical issue in the present electioneering. But, all of the leading candidates including All Progressives Congress Bola Tinubu and the Peoples Democratic Party Atiku Abubakar, insist they are fit for the race and the responsibilities of the office, if elected.
