Herdsmen kill three Amotekun corps members

Some cattle herders allegedly killed three members of the state-owned security outfit, Amotekun Corps in Inayin-Apakolo village Oyo State.

The victims and some members of the Odua Peoples’ Congress (OPC) walked into their deaths while responding to a distress call

A report has that the herders’ cattle had grazed on a farmland and, as a result, destroyed some crops therein.

The farm owner protested the destruction and called to the paramilitary corps for help.

“Herdsmen who we suspect to be Fulani came into our community yesterday morning, they used their cow to ravage a farm belonging to one Mr Wasiu Alabi,” the report quoted an eyewitness as saying.

He added the herders killed Wasiu Alabi in the altercation and, subsequently, the vigilante members.
