Six people jailed over top politician’s nude video

A federal high court in Osun has sentenced six people to five years jail term each for their roles in the nude video debacle involving former Osun State House of Assembly speaker, Timothy Owoeye.

Justice Nathaniel Ayo-Emmanuel sentenced Kazeem Agbabiaka, Rasheed Ojonla, Babatunde Oluajo, Adebiyi Kehinde, Femi Oseni, and Oyebanji Oyeniyi for committing conspiracy, advance fee fraud and cyber-stalking.

The judge however discharged the seventh accused person, Ismail Azeez.

In 2018, Owoeye’s nude video, allegedly taken while he was performing ritualistic acts, emerged on the internet.

Prior to the release of the video, the convicts blackmailed and extorted N38million from Owoeye.
