Senior police officer, two others held for killing Lagos resident

A senior police officer and two members of his team are allegedly in detention for killing a female lawyer in the Ajah area of the state.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos Police Command, announced their arrest in a tweet.

Hundeyin said that the “ASP (assistant superintendent of police) that shot and the two others with him have since been taken into custody. They are to be moved to the SCID for further investigation,” he tweeted.

Report of the shooting has that the deceased Bolanle Raheem was travelling in a car, along with her sister and her four kids.

The police officers, who were stationed at the Ajah Bridge, flagged down their vehicle. A moment later, the leader of the police team fired a gunshot at the vehicle. The bullet hit Bolanle and led to her death.
