Police officer who killed pregnant lawyer remanded in prison

A Yaba Chief Magistrate’s Court on Friday gave the order for the remand of suspended assistant superintendent of police, Drambi Vandi, who killed a pregnant lawyer Bolanle Raheem.

TheCornet had reported on Vandi’s extra-judicial killing of Raheem, after he flagged down her vehicle in the Ajah area of Lagos.

Following his arraignment, the court ruled that Vandi should be kept in Ikoyi Correctional Center until January 30, 2023, while it awaits the advice of the Department of State Pubic Prosecution on the case.
