Obaseki grieves over death of Delta senator
Godwin Obaseki, the governor of Edo state, has expressed his grief over the death of Senator Patrick Enebeli Osakwe.
The late Osakwe represented Delta North Senatorial District between 1999 and 2011.
According to Obaseki, “Senator Osakwe was a consummate patriot who served his people diligently and championed causes that brought about sustainable development.
The governor also described Osakwe as “an advocate for resource control”.
Of Osakwe’s business prowess, Obaseki said mentioned his “setting up of successful enterprises in the hospitality and tourism space within and outside Delta State.”
“He will be remembered for his conviviality, candour, compassion and commitment to the progress and development of the people of Delta North in particular and Nigeria at large,” he said.
