Nigeria’s senior police officer found dead
Gbolahan Olugbemi, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), has been found in his house in Ogbomosho, Oyo State.
Olugbemi had gone to celebrate the Easter holidays in his hometown.
ASP Aminat Mayegun, spokesperson for the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), ruled out the likeability of a suicide. She said the FCID would investigate the sudden death of its officer.
Olugbemi had once served as the area commander in charge of Ajah. He was also at a time the aide-de-camp to former Oyo State governor, late Adebayo Alao-Akala.
