Mother, two children kidnapped
Kidnappers have seized a mother and her two children in Kwara State. The victims are members of the immediate family of a state legislator.
The assailants snatched their victims from their home at about 1am on Monday. They were said to have shot sporadically at the victims’ residence before making away with them.
Ibrahim Saka, chairman of vigilantes in the area, reportedly said rescuers are combing the forest to rescue the victims.
Ajayi Okasanmi, spokesperson for the Kwara Police Command, confirmed the incident.
According a Daily Trust report, the latest occurrence is the second time the victims would be kidnapped. Their rescue in September led to the killing of two of the kidnappers, Okasanmi allegedly told the newspaper.
