Woman throws step-son into well 

A young woman has been arrested for throwing his step-son into a well.

The incident happened at Leko Village in the Danja Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The woman, Maryam Habibu, 18, had separated from her husband-the father of the child.

But, on the fateful day, she visited her ex-husband’s residence and lured the four-year-old boy, Kamilu Rabi’u away. She then decided to throw him into a well.

Maryam’s visit elicited suspicion following the boy’s disappearance.

The police said that Maryam confessed to committing the crime and that investigation was ongoing to unravel her motivation for the crime.
