Monarch burned to death in Ogun State
Ayinde Odetola, the traditional ruler of Agodo village in Ewekoro local government area of Ogun State, has died.
Suspected hoodlums allegedly burned Odetola and three of his aides to death.
Adenike Akintade, the deceased’s sister confirmed the incident to PREMIUM TIMES.
She added her younger brother had previously been murdered too.
“I have just been discharged from hospital early this morning, only to start mourning the brutal assassination of my brother,” said Akintade, reportedly.
Prior, unknown assailants had killed Odetola’s aide.
An unnamed resident of the community attributed the incident to tussle over the stool.
Both Ake and Owu sub-tribal groups are laying claims to the throne. The deceased monarch was of Ake origin.
