Man beats wife to death following divorce row
A man has allegedly beaten his wife to death for attempting to divorce him.
The suspect, identified as Laston Khumalo, fled the area and no one has seen since he committed the murder.
The police are on his trail. Khumalo’s victim is identified as 30 years old Charity Mumba.
Speaking on their investigation, the police said the couple had frequent disagreements. Owing to that, the deceased sued her husband, asking the court to dissolve their marriage. She also accused him of having an extra-marital affair.
After the court hearing, the suspect decided to attack his wife when they arrived at their home.
“Police rushed to the scene of crime and found the deceased beaten and injuries were visibly seen and also bleeding from the nose. She was then rushed to a hospital where she was pronounced dead,” the police said.
The incident happened in Zambia.
