Lagos task force raids shanties, meets defiance from miscreantsÂ

A combined team of Lagos state environmental taskforce and operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) has carried out a raid of shanties in the Fagba Railway area in Ifako-Ijaiye local government area, and Pen Cinema Railway, Agege respectively.

The miscreants, who have built shanties along the railway lanes in the two places, showed defiance to the officials.

The operatives reportedly faced belligerence from miscreants at abbatoir, in Agege.

The task force operatives arrested 25 persons accused of attacking police officers involved in the exercise.

The two places are notorious for being criminal hideouts and drug dens.
