Lagos fraudster arrested

The police have arrested a suspected conman, Emmanuel Rolland for allegedly duping some persons in Lagos state.

According to a statement, officers of Ipakodo division arrested Rolland (34) after his victim raised an alarm.

The incident happened at about 1120hrs on Friday, July 29, 2022, the police said.

Rolland reportedly disguised as a cabbie while his collaborators acted as though they were passengers like the victim.

During the journey, the conmen were said to have initiated a discussion about some money purportedly kept in the boot.

The police said the suspect confessed to the crime during investigation.

“The suspect confessed to having started this crime in January and the latest operation, his sixth,” said the police.

“Effort is in top gear to arrest other fleeing members of the gang and other perpetrators of such crime.”
